After breakfast, the tour guide brought us to visit the making of clay pot/vase, near Taman Harmoni.
Near this area, there were few clay pot/vase selling shop at the road side. We visited one of those next to the clay pot/vase making place. There are many different kind of clay flower vase.
The shop sell some plants too. The lotus, pitcher plant and etc.
I bought this flower home, @ RM 6 per pot. The 5kg mixed soil is RM 2 per pack.
In the clay making factory, hmm, I won't call it factory, I will call it clay making place, there are a lot of clay pot waiting to be dry.
The worker, who came from India, started to make clay pot since his 10 years old. He show us how to make a small simple pot.
After it is ready, he use a string to cut the pot.
Such a small pot, 100 pieces will make him earn RM 1.50. In a day, he can produce around 2000 pieces. Well, he said eventually, his work will be replace by machine. He then let some of us to try to make pot. To do so, both hand and finger need to be used. He also show us how he make some special design pot. He is skillful after 25 years working experience and did those in a very short time.
Some of the pot waiting to be dry.
Look at the trail, he put the pot on a long table, then push the table to under the sun using the trail.
