Winter Warmers Coffee & Tea House, Queensbay Mall, Penang

I was not aware Winter Warmers is opening at Queensbay at all, until a colleague asked for lunch there. It is near KFC/Post Office.

In general, the food is quite nice. I will visit it again. My colleague said the food seems to be taste better than the branch in Gurney. For the drinks, you may request for extra cup if you would like to share with friends. The environment is nice.

Rose bud tea @ RM 8.90

Iced Mixed Fruit Coctail @ RM 9.80

Orchid garden, it comes with a free set meal.

Irish Cream Ice Blended @ RM 7.10

Honey Oat Chicken @ RM 13.40.

Chicken Cheese Bake. This is a free set meal. The original price is RM 21.90 if not mistaken.

Mango Chicken Rice @ RM 12.50. My colleague commented the chicken meat is a bit sweet.

Hawaii Chicken Rice @ RM 12.50

Teriyaki Chicken Rice @ RM 12.50. I like the chicken meat texture, very tender.

要嘛赶紧死,要嘛精彩地活着 Die or Live my life

I think his mother did a good job in raising him. I totally agree with his sentence:

在我的人生里只有二条路,要嘛赶紧死,要嘛精彩地活着。
There are two choices in my life, die or live my life

Are you a 'flasher'?

Have you ever drove on PLUS highway at night or early morning when it is dark and everyone have to turn on the car light?

If so, have you ever being 'flashed' by the flasher? Or if you are a flasher, do you know that for drivers 'flashed' by you, their eyes get hurt and possibly the eyes will go blank for a short while? Can you imagine after you flashed someone, his eyesight gone for few seconds and that is actually very dangerous! What if he can't see the road condition well, accidentally bang you while you were overtaking him?

There were few incidents (in fact there are few tenth incidents) where I was being 'flashed'. At ALL cases, I was driving at 110km/h and overtaking buses/lorries. There was once my eye sight was blackout for 3-5 seconds. Luckily no accident happened as I roughly know the road condition for being travelling quite frequent on PLUS highway. Very frequently, my eyes are very painful after being flashed. I can't imagine for driver with high degree of astigmatism.

I understand for people driving at 130km/h and beyond, they are very reluctant to press the break pedal. But please be considerate, I am driving at the speed limit, can the speedo just please stay behind my car for few seconds until I finish overtook the long vehicle? My reader, for all of the cases, I was half way overtaking the long vehicle, then the speedo reached behind me and isn't patient to wait for few seconds. Some more you know, if you can't estimate the speed of the incoming car from back or car in front of you, whether they are slower of faster, so that you can prepare to accelerate or put your leg off from accelerate pedal, I don't think you are a good driver. You are just someone who drive blindly fast, not driving smartly fast.

Speedo, if you would like to speed, that is your choice, but please don't 'force' other people to be involved in your speedy game. You may win the few second of victory, but you'd loose yourself of being someone who can share the road with other driver.

A light joke about flasher. They must always bring a torchlight with them. Why, a light joke to end this post. One day a speedo go to KFC/McD (or any restaurant actually :p ) and there are long queue to order the food. Since he can't flash their car light, what will he do? He will take out a torchlight, flash on person in front of him (maybe on the eye), so that the person in front of him will go to other queue, then speedo can get to the food counter as soon as he can.
*gosh, I hope this will not become real :p *

An evening of wisdom and joy with His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

In Chinese idiom, there is one sounds like frog under the well, where the frog eyesight is limited to the size of the well. I feel like I am a frog when I read poster above. I am sorry that I am new to His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. We reached PISA around 6.50pm. We thought there will be no crowd, but obviously these frogs were wrong. There were a few buses at car park, and the car park is full. Look at the hall, it is full too.

The talk start with conversation with Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng. After that, His Holiness continue by asking audience to greet people surround him/her. His Holiness also point out if we really mean what we said. When you said Thank you, (or sorry), do you speak it with your heart? Or just for formality? Then His Holiness asked us to say I don't trust you to the person next to us. This exercise is trying to convey a message saying something negative is harder. We should have create an environment with positive energy.

His Holiness then shared 4 wisdom of life: freedom, love, skills and strength. Strength to face the difficulties in life and overcome it, skills in work to survive our daily life, love and freedom for our wisdom personal life. Then, all audience follow His Holiness meditation exercise, which last for 25 min, which I felt is only 10 minutes, time really flies :D

His Holiness encourage everyone to always bring a smile with them. Leave the worriness in the hall, and bring just smile home. After around 30 min of Q&A, the session ended. Well, it is a pretty short session, and really brief. Maybe we are used to very informative seminar, and felt this is really brief.

I would like to share his answer to few questions in the Q&A session:
Q1: How to I score well in examination?
A1: Study smart. After 40min study, listen to music for 3-7min.

Q2: Advice to husband and wife.
A2: To woman, do not stand on your husband ego. Always praised them. To husband, just listen to your wife nag. To both husband and wife, don't question your partner love.

Q3: How do I overcome anger, stress... (a very long question)
A3: Attend the course by The Art of Living. (Frankly, we felt a bit disappointed with the answer, maybe we were too expecting informative overloaded seminar :p )

A survey

When I visit http://opinions.sinchew-i.com/ today, there is a survey dialog prompted, in Malay. Then some question pop into my mind. I am reading a mandarin online news, but the survey is in Malay language. Will it be more effective if the survey is in Mandarin? But anyway, neither button I clicked show me anything, so it served like a decoration item take up some reading space...
