Okay, by year 2100, most likely we will be at this earth no more due to aging. Why do you care then? Do you have kids? If you do, and I am pretty sure you will hope for having grand children. This is the earth they will live at, the earth at 2100.
Watch the rest of the part in youtube, or maybe abc news, if they still hosting it.
Some people thought long time no see is a broken English greeting. In fact, this is appropriate to say :)
Oh life has been busy, but good one, as happy MK will always tell you, as long as we are still alive and healthy, life is a good one :D I guess I will be back end of this month, just a lot of things to do :)
Before I say goodbye, the joke of today :D Enjoy and SMILE :D
Ever wonder if you can see autumn scenery in Malaysia? Sometimes you might see some. Here are what I see on my country road home :)
Some rubber tree leave will drop from Jan - Mar every year. Why is this so although it is in Malaysia? Dad told me it is because rubber tree is originally from Brazil. Although it is planted in Malaysia, but the leave will still drop for a certain period, then the new leave will come out. I have not verify the validity, treated this as my family tale :)
I managed to capture some photo using handphone's camera. Look at some of the brown color tree in posted pictures.
Have you ever see a cotton tree? It is like below. There are lots of cotton ball hanging on the tree.
Yes, as the title said, these are two different type of air plants I recently bought. The first one at RM 15 (including RM 2 for the shell), the second at RM 33. For the latter, it has around 5 small plants, which I can then tug individually to other location :D
The world can live without us, but we cannot live without the earth.
I remembered some of the Earth Hour discussion. Some people feedback are supportive. Some people doubt about the effectiveness of it, and not joining the event. Well, no matter what opinion do you hold, what have you done to keep our earth long life?
Well, as an individual, there are lots of things we can do to love our earth. Here are what I did, please feel free to add your practice or comment after mine :)
1. Switch off (Not putting into standby mode, but total switch off or unplug) electricity appliances when not in used.
2. Switch off lights when not in used. There were comment often switch on and off will consume more electricity, this maybe is true, but when we are leaving the room/kitchen/house for long, if we can just switch it off, including the fan and air cond :)
3. 3R: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reduce garbage. Don't buy things that you do not need. The world is producing more than enough now, because a lot of excessive buying and trash operation. Reuse things that is reusable.
4. Don't waste food. How frequent you have to throw away vegetables/food from your fridge?
5. Reduce meat. Feeding an animal requires a lot of vegetable and produces a lot of waste. Google for Reason to reduce meat for more information.
6. If possible, make some garbage enzyme using vegetable/fruit waste. http://enzymesos.blogspot.com/
7. Car-pool, use public transport if possible, or walk if possible. Reduce car driving and CO2 emission.
8. Reduce air conditioner usage if possible, or tune up few degree.
As a Malaysian, we have exposure to different race culture, language, food and also its song.
Today when I listened to some old CD, I heard this Malay song Pusaka Rimba, a love our earth song. The version I have is by Dayang Nurfaizah but I manage to find only the version of her duet with Ziana Zain.
Here is the lyric:
Tiada kedinginan embun melingkari Ayunan daun di sini Mentari bersembunyi kabut mengaburi Rentak dunia berlari
Kota berdiri, megah diselimuti Cita menjauhi bumi Suara berlagu merintih nasibku Lemah dayaku merindu
Kemana kan ku bawa sisa kehijauan Semakin kerdil di bayang kemewahan Manusia menyahut panggilan kemajuan Mereka lupa pusaka rimba
Semakin ku cuba menghampiri bahagia Ribut meruntuhi cinta Harapan yang agung mengubati sendu Pusaka rimba duniaku
Harapan yang agung mengubati sendu Pusaka rimba duniaku
